The highly anticipated Speech Day and Graduation Ceremony for the top class of 2024 was a resounding success, leaving the entire GPPS community in awe. The event showcased the school's commitment to nurturing talented and confident individuals.
The ceremony began with a spectacular procession of pupils, dressed in their uniforms, while the top-class graduates wore maroon and Movit yellow gowns. Accompanied by the school flag, banners, and the energetic beats of the school band, the procession marched majestically through nearby communities, including Ssanje, Kasasa, Kimukunda, Jengere City, and back to school.
As parents and special guests arrived, they were greeted by the beautifully decorated campus, adorned with vibrant balloons, banners, and backdrops. The atmosphere was electric, filled with excitement and anticipation.
The event commenced with a Holy Mass, blessed by Father Alex Ssekatawa, the school chaplain and chairman of the school management committee. This was followed by a welcoming speech from the head prefect and a message from the headteacher.
The highlight of the event was the talent show, academic presentations, and the awarding ceremony for top-class pupils. The afternoon was filled with exciting performances, showcasing the pupils' diverse skills and passions in news reading, poetry, storytelling, debating, skits, music, dance, and drama.
The school song, proudly sung by the entire student body, echoed through the campus, filling the air with a sense of unity and school spirit. In his keynote address, the headteacher emphasized the importance of hard work, perseverance, and teamwork, encouraging pupils to continue striving for excellence.
He promised parents a 100% performance and read the end-of-term circular. The headteacher also requested parents to enroll more children and wished them a prosperous 2025.
